Winsor & Newton Oilbar enables painting and drawing directly onto surfaces. Oilbar combines the buttery consistency and richness of oil colour with the freedom and directness of pastels or charcoal.Fundamentally different from oil pastels or oil crayons, Oilbar has a unique formulation.
Each of the 50 colours is produced by combining pigments with linseed or safflower oil, blended with specially selected wax. Oilbar offers a versatile way of painting and drawing, from sketching, to sgraffito effects. It can be used on its own or with tube oil colour.
