The Winsor & Newton Sceptre Gold Pocket Brush is perfect for outdoor painting. Designed for use on the go, its bristles are protected by a twist-off lid that forms the handle when attached to the end of the brush.
Sceptre Gold II is a range of high-quality brushes made from a mix of sable and synthetic fibres. Ideal for working with watercolour and fluid oil colour, they are also suitable for use with acrylic, water mixable oil and alkyd fast drying oil colour. Sceptre Gold II is a perfect combination, giving a performance close to sable at a price close to synthetic. The Sable hair has excellent spring, whilst the high-quality synthetic filaments ensure the brushes are soft enough to work the colour but with a strong snap to return to the original shape. The high proportion of sable in Sceptre Gold II gives the brushes the ability to create larger washes in one stroke than normal synthetic brushes; the hairs are tapered to a fine point, giving the brush control for detailed work.
